InterBBS Door games • Global scoreboards • Zero drama

Bring your BBS back to life — with door games people actually want to play.

BBSlink is a free InterBBS door games network. You drop in a small connection script/client, and your callers are straight into the action — with shared leagues, leaderboards, and a bigger world beyond a single board.

No splash screens. No forced menus. Just doors that launch cleanly and feel native on your system.

Status: 24/7 • backed up nightly
Play style: From your BBS • not direct telnet

If stats don’t load, your host may block outgoing HTTP — the network still works fine for callers.

Seamless by design

Your users shouldn’t feel like they “left” your board. BBSlink launches doors cleanly, with no compulsory splash screens or extra menus in the way.

Open to all SysOps

No auditions. No popularity contest. If you run a compatible BBS, you’re welcome — whether you’ve got 3 callers a week or a thriving userbase.

Registered doors only

The network focuses on registered/freeware/abandonware doors — no trial nags, no “day 2 locked content”. Callers get the real experience.

How it works

BBSlink runs in two simple stages: a quick authentication handshake, then a telnet connection into the door. Once your system is enrolled, your callers flow in and out like any other door.

  1. Install a client — Synchronet JS, Windows client, Linux/Mac scripts, Mystic helpers, and more.
  2. Add your credentials — BBSlink links your board to your callers so they return via your BBS.
  3. Launch doors like normal — callers play, compete, and show up on global leaderboards.

Quick start for SysOps

Already running a BBS and want in?

Want a door that isn’t listed yet? Ask. If it runs reliably under Linux/DOSemu, it’s probably a candidate.
